No matter how much I look something I can’t find certain things at thrift stores. This doesn’t mean that others don’t find it, because they do all the time! I see so many instagram posts of people sharing their hauls and guess what!? Most of these items are there and I watch quietly and green with envy while I scour the shops close to me and never find these things!
Now your curious and thinking ‘What are these hard-to-find items?’ well let me tell you
I have a hard time finding quality sunglasses at thrift stores. Yes, I can find novelty glasses, or sometimes even readers, I have yet to really find a pair of sunglasses that I can wear daily. If I do find sunglasses they are scratched or damaged in a way that does not allow for use. These sunglasses are usually for people who take the time to repair or change the lenses and I just don’t have the know-how or time to do this with my busy schedule.
I have only purchased one thrift-ed band shirt and I wasn’t even the one that thrift-ed it. *Insert Crying Face* I realized that these shirts are sought out because they are trendy and people like to distress them (which honestly hurts my heart because NOOOOOOOOO!) so it just makes it hard to find. I will ALWAYS be on the lookout for these.
So I have been looking for a nice vintage vanity piece to go in my bedroom, and unfortunately I have ran into a couple of obstacles. First, and foremost vintage (antique?) furniture can be very expensive and for good reason. Most of the antique (vintage?) pieces are no longer made and available so they are usually one-of-a-kind pieces. Another obstacles is the availability of what I want, because I am looking for something specific it will be hard to find. Either I continue to wait until something comes up, settle for something that may not be what I want, or buy new furniture. Two of these options are not pleasing to me.
There you go, these are items that I have been unable to find. Maybe you all would have more luck than I do.
