I felt this was the perfect color for this week. Taupe is severely underrated in the manicure department so I wanted to represent. I really like this polish that I got on sale (because that is how I get most of my beauty products nowadays) I am in dire need to going for a real manicure to get a handle on these cuticles but I have yet to find a reasonably priced place. I guess I got a little spoiled with my $12 manicures at my old place.
I am keeping my eyes open. This polish needs two coats to really shine, but it works amazingly. It has yet to chip which is important. The brush is wide which works better for me as I don’t mess up as much (I really suck at putting on polish) and I can get the corners of my nails better. Plus Cruelty free!!!!
I won’t lie I have tons of make up brushes but that doesn’t stop me from buying more especially when they are on sale and these beauties were. I like having lots of brushes because I can pick and choose which ones I feel like using. I feel in love with these because I like the colors and simplistic look to them. I find as I get old I just like simple looking products now, anything with flare tends to turn me off
The bristles on the brush are soft and flexible, it doesn’t irritate my face or eye lid when using them. I purchased the Foundation brush, The Flat Top brush and Crease brush because I have yet to have those in my collection. The brushes are of course cruelty free and are made to mimic the consistency of a natural hair brush.
They work great so far and I have yet to see any of the bristles fall out. They seem really durable and can handle a cleaning. The only weird thing is the ergonomic handles as my fingers don’t really want to go in the little grooves that were provided for them.
Overall I really like them and I don’t regret the purchase.
I am still fighting a battle with dry lips. It seems as if no matter what I do I constantly feel like my lips are dry and peeling, which when you wear lipstick it seems to highlight these flaws. When I saw the Wet N’ Wild Perfect Pout Lip Balm I hoped I can heal my dry lips while sporting a bit of spring color. These are a Gel Lip Balm which I’ve never tried before. They glide on smoothly and are way more pigmented than I thought they would be. The Vitamin E and Avocado Oil help with the much needed moisture for my lips.
I got these gorgeous shades on sale for $5 for both of these beauties. Tease is a pretty pale pink that thankfully does not wash out my lips, but it’s perfect for that everyday look that you just want that small pop of color. Love is a bit of a darker shade that’s great for going out on a night on the town. The one thing I wished these two balms had were lasting power. If I’m drinking coffee or eating I must immediately reapply as this wipes off super easy.
If your on a budget and need something moisturizing with a pop of color these two are your girls!
I’ve been looking for a mascara for the minimal make up days when all I want is a small pop of lash and a tinted lip balm, no flash or glitz. That’s why I picked up the Wet n’ Wild megaslim skinny mascara and it delivered on what I wanted. The small plastic wand is small enough to get the small stray lashes that try to evade the bigger brushes, but it is not too small where it doesn’t give enough coverage.
I will say that you will need more that two swipes to get full coverage, but the build up is easy and the formula does not make my eye feel gunky or sticky like some mascaras do. The skinny mascara give me natural looking lashes while subtly giving a bit of oomph! The removal is easy too, I didn’t have to pull on my lashes, and it didn’t give me huge raccoon eyes when I was washing my face.
You do have to remember this mascara is for a natural look with some definition, if you want full Hollywood glamour you should look else where.
As I mentioned in this post HERE, while waiting for a prescription to be filled I decided to peruse the Make up aisle.
Recently I made a decision to be more conscious about Vegan and Cruelty free products. To my utter disappointment the only brand I was able to find that was Cruelty Free was Wet N’ Wild. Come on people it’s the year 2017 can be stop testing products on animals please!?
Anyway I do love Wet N Wild and I have featured some of their products on my blog before, plus they were having a buy 2 for $5 deal which was pretty awesome.
2 Perfect Pout Gel Lip Balm in Tease and Love
MegaSlim Skinny Mascara in Black
The Saving Base Nail Polish
Hard As Ice Top Coat
Large Eyeshadow Brush
Flat Top Brush
I cannot wait to use all the products and let you all know how they work. I’m especially excited for the gel lip balms!
I’ve been trying to get rid of stuff I don’t use in hopes of making things less cluttered. I’ve done some of my clothes, now it’s onto my make up. I feel like I have tons of make up and its only seems to be getting worse. So I bring to you the make up that didn’t make the cut.
Doll 10 hydraGel Cream Blush in FLIRT
This stuff actually isn’t so bad however I am very picky with blushes and this one is just too red for me. I do a lot better with coral blushes as opposed to pinks and reds. So this has nothing to do with how well the product works more like the color just doesn’t suite me.
Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in Poppy Paradise
This is another blush that is just way too red for me, I feel like I look like a clown, which sucks since I really like Josie Maran Products
LAQA & Co.Cheeky Lip in Cray-Cray
This is more of a lip color and it just didn’t go with my skin tone. The product itself went on really well but the color just didn’t do.
Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip color in Click on my Hyper Pink
This product is just a mess. The Color was horrendous, it felt sticky and thick on my lips. It also was extremely hard to remove to the point I pretty much scrubbed my lips rawr! This is just a HELL NO!
These are just the first round of Make up cuts, I’ll probably do another round soon.
