Beauty: #SkincareSunday Tarte Cosmetics Cleansing Gel

I purchased this Tarte Rainforest of the Sea deep dive cleansing gel from Sephora a while back. I’ve always wanted to try it but didn’t want to shell out all that money on the full size and worry that I didn’t like it.

Lavender-oil infused lather feels like a day at the spa & won’t leave your skin feeling tight or dry.

It is hypo-allergenic and vegan so that makes me even more excited, especially since my skin seems to be ultra-sensitive to products as of late. It can also be used to remove waterproof makeup if so desired.

While I do like the fragrance-free smell and the fact that my skin didn’t feel like it was just stripped of every single oil of my face, it was just okay. It is a very soft cleanser which I love, and it seemed perfect for my sensitive skin but in order for me to really say what it does for my skin would require prolonged use.

My skin is pretty soft, but I exfoliate twice a week and it was never something that I had a problem with.

I will have to keep debating if I want to purchase the large size and really see if it makes a difference.

Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint in Birthday Suit

I got the Tarteist Lip Paint as my Sephora Birthday Gift, along with a tarte blush as well. I’ve used it a couple of times and I really like it. It has a bit of a peppermint smell and feel that really reminds me of Christmas despite the color not really matching. Tarteist Creamy Lip paint is a vegan full coverage lipstick that stays creamy throughout the day despite creating a matte look. Most matte lipsticks I’ve used dry my lips out to the point that you can see every wrinkle and imperfection, which really is not a flattering look. I didn’t have a problem with this lip paint as it stayed pretty creamy.

I was surprised at how easy it spread across my lips, despite the applicator feeling a bit flimsy ( I thought it was going to fall off if I applied too much pressure). The staying power was nice I only had to reapply after eating so that was great. It does transfer a bit so be careful against clothing and whatnot.

The color is a nice pinkish nude, that is great for any occasion. While it is a bit expensive ($20 per lipstick) I think it is worth the price and I am thinking about getting more colors like ‘So Fetch’ or ‘Lovespell’.

How you used Tareist Creamy Lip Paint? What did you think?

Happy Birthday Tartelette

So as you all know recently I went to Sephora for some birthday shopping for myself and as Sephora does they give you a Birthday gift when you are a beauty insider. The Birthday gift was 2 Tarte products; Amazonian clay 12- hour blush in paaarty and Tarteist creamy matte lip paint in birthday suit.

The blush is a pretty pink nude, which is perfect for me as any blush that is too pink or red makes me feel like a clown. It’s pigmented pretty well and seems to go on smooth. I will definitely use it.

This lip paint is creamy, however I am not sure I love the color. While it matches the blush on my lips it may wash me out. Also I am a bit worried about the staying power of the lip paint.

I am happy that I was able to pick this as it gives me a chance to try both products
