I have a pretty tame morning routine, mostly because I don’t have as much time in the morning than when I do at night. So my morning skincare routine needs to be quick.
First things first, I do not use a cleanser in the morning. Instead, I use Micellar water. I don’t need to use a cleanser because I use one at night and I should not be having a build-up of [too much] dirt while sleeping, if you are maybe you should wash your sheets more. Micellar water cleanses my skin while giving it a refreshing boost. It won’t strip my face of the natural oils so I won’t dry out my skin. I was using the Bioderma Sensibio h2o micellar water because I got a sample of it. Usually, I use Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water.
For those days if I have time or get up earlier than I expected I use a quick 5-10 minute face mask such as theelf Mattifying Maskor Acure Brightening Face Masksthese masks are gentle on my face and give my skin a quick boost, especially for those foundation-free days.
Next I use a toner like the Botanics Cleansing toner to help with the Ph balance of my skin. This toner also freshens and brightens my skin as well.
Lastly, I use a gentle moisturizer for my sensitive skin. I like to use elf daily hydration moisturizer, it’s inexpensive and the pump on top makes for quick and easy use. They add a little sunscreen and you are good to go.
I purchased this TarteRainforest of the Sea deep dive cleansing gel from Sephora a while back. I’ve always wanted to try it but didn’t want to shell out all that money on the full size and worry that I didn’t like it.
Lavender-oil infused lather feels like a day at the spa & won’t leave your skin feeling tight or dry.

It is hypo-allergenic and vegan so that makes me even more excited, especially since my skin seems to be ultra-sensitive to products as of late. It can also be used to remove waterproof makeup if so desired.
While I do like the fragrance-free smell and the fact that my skin didn’t feel like it was just stripped of every single oil of my face, it was just okay. It is a very soft cleanser which I love, and it seemed perfect for my sensitive skin but in order for me to really say what it does for my skin would require prolonged use.
My skin is pretty soft, but I exfoliate twice a week and it was never something that I had a problem with.
I will have to keep debating if I want to purchase the large size and really see if it makes a difference.
Since hitting my late twenties and now since I’ve hit my thirties skincare has become so important to my routine. Now though since I have school, Full-time work, and lots of adulting activities that I need to do I don’t have time to take care of my skin like I want. So I set aside time every Sunday to make sure that my skin gets the exact care that it needs. I stumbled upon ilike organic skin care though Hautelook and I am so glad I did.
Grape Stem Cell Solutions gel mask
This is my go-to mask for when I am unsure what I want to use. It’s great for mature skin that needs anti-aging treatments. This mask contains grape pulp, grape stem cells, grape skin, honey, algae, orange and lemon oil. You apply this mask over cleansed skin and leave for about 20 minutes. While the grape does seem to very lightly stain my skin it goes away when applying my toner. This moisturizes my skin and leaves it so soft and smooth. It is cold when you put it on your skin so you may want to try it in the spring or summer time. Not sure if I would put this on in winter.
After using the mask I use this pretty little toner to help cleanse my face. This toner is good for acne care, hormonal imbalances sensitive skin with rosacea. The Rosehip toner also helps tighten pores. This is especially good for my face because on my cheeks and forehead I do have rosacea.
While Ilike is a bit on the pricey side I feel as if it’s 100 percent worth it for my skin. I will keep on the lookout for sales as I would like to keep this one hand.
