Beauty: Yardley Almond Milk Pure Shea Butter Soap

I was at Walgreen and I saw this on sale for $.99. I like to use bath bars when I am taking a bath. It’s easy to use a bar in a bath as opposed to the shower. In the shower the bar gets drenched, there are no places to put the bar to protect it from the water, and it’s just easier to use in the bath. I used a gel cleanser in the shower. This bar intrigued me because it contains almond milk and oil extracts as well as honey extracts. There is also Shea butter as well.

There was not too much of a smell, it was slightly sweet but mostly had a very soft almond smell. The bar was smooth but when you start washing yourself you do feel small almond pieces that exfoliate your skin. It did a good job washing my skin without drying it out like most soap bars do. However, it was not as moisturizing as I would have liked, but compared to other bars did a pretty okay job. I don’t regret buying it at all especially since it was on sale. I will continue using it and may try other bars from Yardley

#SkincareSaturday Dewytree Black Honey Sheet Mask

After I use any clay masks or Detox masks I always use a Sheet Mask. It is typically the best way to moisturize my face after going through a harsher mask. After using the Pink Clay mask I picked this beauty up to try out.

There was so much essence in the pack, and when I took the mask out it was drenched. This of course made the mask a bit hard to unfold as it kept sticking together. It also made it ridiculously easy to stay on my face.

While it fit pretty well over most of my face, it did not cover my nose at all, which was a bit disappointing as my nose is usually the place that I have no problem with. I left the mask on for around 30 mins and it still was pretty wet when I took it off. My face felt amazing though! so soft, smooth and hydrated. I think I dare even say one of the best sheet masks I have ever used. I know Kohls sells this for around $3.99 which isn’t too bad. I will definitely be buying more once I run out of masks.

#SkincareSaturday ELF Skincare

So E.L.F has really upped their game lately and I am really impressed. How they are able to provide quality items but still staying affordable is beyond me. a while ago they stepped into skincare and I knew I immediately wanted to try them out. I purchased 4 of their products to share with you all, but their range is bigger and I can’t wait to try their others.

e.l.f. Illuminating eye cream is only $10 which for how much you get is a pretty great deal. This cream is in their oily skin line and is meant to help with dark circles and hydrate. Containing ingredients like jojoba and cucumber it is safe for sensitive skin. While it does help with dark circles it felt a little greasy when I applied it to the skin underneath my eye. It did go away but it took longer than I would have liked to soak in.

e.l.f Nourishing night cream available for $12, is surprisingly hydrating, and I found a little goes a long way. This absorbs quicker than the eye cream and does not have that greasy feeling. I found it be very good on my sensitive skin, this also has jojoba and cucumber but you can feel the aloe and shea butter as well. This is a winner.

e.l.f Daily Hydration moisturizer is available for $8, I use this in the morning and I found myself using slightly more of this moisturizer than the night cream. This does have the same ingredients as the other products with added grape antioxidants and bilberry to round it out.

e.l.f soothing serum is available at $12 and meant to help sooth and strengthen the skin. I really like this for the winter months as an extra hydration boost. Since my skin gets super dry in the winter this helps a lot.

I can’t say enough how much I love e.l.f and their products. You will definitely be seeing more of their skincare line on this blog as time goes on. I can’t wait to see how they expand. I want to try their melt cleanser and bubble mask.

#SkincareSunday with Ilike Organic Skin Care

2017-10-29 12.04.03

Since hitting my late twenties and now since I’ve hit my thirties skincare has become so important to my routine. Now though since I have school, Full-time work, and lots of adulting activities that I need to do I don’t have time to take care of my skin like I want. So I set aside time every Sunday to make sure that my skin gets the exact care that it needs. I stumbled upon ilike organic skin care though Hautelook and I am so glad I did.

Grape Stem Cell Solutions gel mask

2017-10-29 12.04.14

This is my go-to mask for when I am unsure what I want to use. It’s great for mature skin that needs anti-aging treatments. This mask contains grape pulp, grape stem cells, grape skin, honey, algae, orange and lemon oil. You apply this mask over cleansed skin and leave for about 20 minutes. While the grape does seem to very lightly stain my skin it goes away when applying my toner. This moisturizes my skin and leaves it so soft and smooth. It is cold when you put it on your skin so you may want to try it in the spring or summer time. Not sure if I would put this on in winter.

Rosehip Toner

2017-10-29 12.04.21

After using the mask I use this pretty little toner to help cleanse my face. This toner is good for acne care, hormonal imbalances sensitive skin with rosacea. The Rosehip toner also helps tighten pores. This is especially good for my face because on my cheeks and forehead I do have rosacea.

While Ilike is a bit on the pricey side I feel as if it’s 100 percent worth it for my skin. I will keep on the lookout for sales as I would like to keep this one hand.
