I’ve been pretty into flats lately, plus with my new job I really wanted shoes that I not only would be comfortable in but also I feel is stylish. Now that I am older I sometimes prioritize comfort over fashion however I feel like flats are stylish. I still love heels don’t get my wrong but wearing them 8 hours a day is killer. I’ll start trying to look for comfortable heels (oxymoron).
My favorite are the yellow flats, I love wearing yellow, it’s one of those colors that I feel goes really well with me. I will say the most comfortable (besides the Polo shoes) are the black H&M flats. Hopefully I’ll be able to post some OOTD posts so you can see how I style them.
So in hopes of trying to be more positive and Look at what I have rather than what I want or has lost, I’ve decided to start doing Five Friday Favorites. Hopefully it will let me look at what I have and be able to be happier and content with everything. Will I do this every friday? Maybe, maybe not. I’m trying not to micromanage my life as much!
My Wheaten sweatshirt. Tesla is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier mix. It’s not a really big breed as most people actually have never heard of it so imagine how excited I am to find a sweatshirt that can represent where she is in my life
So guys, I’m a horrible person. I lost my wedding ring. I fell horrible and I have not been able to find it. I went insane looking around my house and pretty much went into a depressed despair when I could not locate it. Not having my wedding ring on my finger feels so foreign and strange. I’ve gotten so used to having my gorgeous ring on my finger that without it… I finally broke down and got a bridal set. Having something on my finger that helps show how much love my husband I am have for each other has really increased my mood.
Did you know I’ve never owned a casual tennis shoe. All my tennis shoes are for running, weightlifting or playing tennis. Honestly I never knew that casual sneakers exsisted (I know sounds like I have been living under a rock). I love these shoes! They are oh so comfortable, they are stylish and I feel cool wearing them. Plus I love the hightops!
I love Micellar water. It’s helped keep my face refreshed and hydrated with the summer heat, I don’t know how I went so long without using it! It cleans make up off my face, while cleansing and keeping my face looking great. I seriously cannot stop boasting about this!
Last but not least my NYX Wonder stick. I’ve been trying my hand at contouring and highlighting, while I am not the best at it and still learning the tricks this is so easy to use. The ease of which I can use the wonderstick helps with my less then knowledgeable skills in this area. I’m still debating if I want to do a in depth review. Let me know if you want and I will definitely whip one up for you all.
What are you Five Friday Favorites?
So guess who just got shoes with cat faces on them?Yup it’s this girl and I am absolutely in love with them. They meet my criteria for greatness.
- They are comfortable
- I can wear them whenever I want
- They have a animal face right in front for everyone to see
So as you can see it doesn’t take a lot to make this women fall madly in love (with shoes). They are so cute I love wearing them with jeans and a crisp white tee.
Hey, hey, hey
I’m here and I have more shoes! When I saw these shoes modeled after my fave childhood anime Sailor Moon, I had to have them! Although a bit on the narrow side I really love them. They are not quite flats I would totally describe them as loafers. I did have to break them in a awful lot before I was about to get them fully comfortable. I wish they had them in black as white tends to scuff very easy (Plus Luna was technically black, while Artemis was the white one, but no one is judging)
If you are a huge fan of Sailor moon or just like the shoes in general you can purchase them HERE
Okay, okay, I am not the Mockingjay, nor am I Jennifer Lawrence or have anything to do with The Hunger games franchise. However, I have shoes that makes me think I can dress up like one!
These heels are actually really comfortable! Maybe it’s my wacky childish side that has been coming out to play but I’ve been wanting to just play dress up!
What can I say I’m weird.
Like the shoes? You can get them HERE
So yesterday I posted about my combat boots, (which I love so go check out that post after this one) and now I have a post about ballet flats. I also am currently writing more posts about shoes. I am shoe crazy. I love shoes. I also may have a shoe addiction, or at least this is what my husband says after he looks at my closet. (There will not be any closet pictures unless I somehow get a walk in closet bigger than a master bedroom. I really need to win the lotto).
So yes I know I am now 29 years old, and I probably shouldn’t be wearing shoes that have faces on them, but sometimes I want to feel young.
I also like Sheep.
These flats are really cute, however they are so very narrow. The first time I wore these… The Blisters, but I didn’t let that stop me. I broke them in, it took time, patience, and bandaids, but I prevailed and now they fit comfortably. These do run a bit small, I wear a size 8.5, I purchased a size 9 and they fit. Unfortunately these did not come in half sizes.
There are a whole range of other shoes that include (but are not limited to) Purple Unicorn, Brown Bear and Cow. I tried to get the Brown bear flat however they did not have my size
*insert sad face picture here*
I can’t wait till late spring or summer these flats will be perfect!
If you like you can browse (or Purchase) these flats HERE.
*I received these shoes for a discounted price*
I love going on Hautelook, I don’t go on too often, mostly because I can’t really afford to, but when I do I always (ALWAYS) find something I want.
They Recently had a sale on Muk Luks boots. I’ve been looking for some casual knitted boots for a long time, but I have not found a pair that interested me until now.
I can’t you how happy I am to have gotten these boots. They are so warm and actually water resistant! I am prepared for you El Nino!
I am also happy that I sized up because these boots seem to run a lit on the smaller size.
