What I have been Watching: Sense8

So, you must have heard that Sense8 has been cancelled and recently has released it’s 2 hour series finale. I’ve actually seen this when it first came out, and I fell in love with each of the 8 characters and their lovers and friends. Imagine how crushed I was that this was over, not only did it have strong (and even vulnerable) female characters, but had great representation of love, friendship, and family. Before watching the finale, I decided to binge watch the entire 2 seasons and relived why I love it so much!

First off, Lito is my absolute favorite characters and may be my spirit animal. His relationship with Hernando and even dani was amazing. Not to mention the amazing chemistry of Amanita and Nomi ( I love Amanita!). I was not entirely onboard with Kala and Wolfgang at first, I did grow to love them because they are just amazing characters. The show can be a little slow at times, while extremely fast paced at others. Not to mention the storylines had so much information you had to pay attention to or else you will miss something. If you don’t pay attention you can be left feeling confused. Plus, if you are not comfortable with watching nude or sex scenes, I don’t actually know what to tell you. While I can see that the show was probably really expensive to film especially since it was filmed on location, I wished that Netflix would have given us 1 new season as opposed to a 2 hour finale. This would have been great for a premium cable channel like HBO or Showtime.

There was a couple of questions I was left with after watching the finale, but I loved the ending. I just wished it was not over.

Currently Watching: M*A*S*H

First things first, I think I am in love with Alan Alda. There it’s off my chest!

So MASH, what can I say I’m addictive and I have 11 seasons to hold me. If you don’t know what MASH is, its a Comedy (DRAMA!!!!) about two doctor that were drafted in the army during the Korean war and who work in a MASH Unit (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital). I can say that I did expect it to be funny, however the amount of drama and real life issues they throw at you kinda threw me for a loop.

I haven’t cried yet though! (Hooray for me!)

For it being such a old show (it debuted in 1973) it doesn’t really feel so dated. I found myself laughing at most of the Jokes and falling in love with both Hawkeye and Trapper (Alan Alda’s Baby Blues!!!!). However being such a old show that it is, I pretty much know everything that happens!

I may be blabbering. #sorrynotsorry

I’m also very sick and under the influence of medicine (Drugs. Don’t do them kids)

The moral of this post is to let you know that I am enjoying this show, and maybe if you give it a chance you can too!

xo,
