I’ve always had problem dry, cracked lips. I think I may have mentioned it once or twice and I am always on the look out for lip treatments to help combat my lip problems. I saw this beauty in my local CVS and I was intrigued. I’ve used it for a couple of weeks and I do see some improvement, this definitely is not the be all end all of lip products but it does make a difference. The real test will be when winter comes.
I’ve been trying to get rid of stuff I don’t use in hopes of making things less cluttered. I’ve done some of my clothes, now it’s onto my make up. I feel like I have tons of make up and its only seems to be getting worse. So I bring to you the make up that didn’t make the cut.
Doll 10 hydraGel Cream Blush in FLIRT
This stuff actually isn’t so bad however I am very picky with blushes and this one is just too red for me. I do a lot better with coral blushes as opposed to pinks and reds. So this has nothing to do with how well the product works more like the color just doesn’t suite me.
Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in Poppy Paradise
This is another blush that is just way too red for me, I feel like I look like a clown, which sucks since I really like Josie Maran Products
LAQA & Co.Cheeky Lip in Cray-Cray
This is more of a lip color and it just didn’t go with my skin tone. The product itself went on really well but the color just didn’t do.
Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip color in Click on my Hyper Pink
This product is just a mess. The Color was horrendous, it felt sticky and thick on my lips. It also was extremely hard to remove to the point I pretty much scrubbed my lips rawr! This is just a HELL NO!
These are just the first round of Make up cuts, I’ll probably do another round soon.
So New Year, why not start it off right with a little something for myself? They had so many discounts at my CVS that I couldn’t help but buy up!
I definitely had to get some of the star wars collection from Covergirl since I am such a fan, and yes I know I technically purchased two of the same mascara (one is waterproof!!!!) but I really don’t care.
I also want to start doing my nails more so I bought some much needed products from ORLY.
Also this is the only drugstore in my area that carries MUA cosmetics. I can’t usually find MUA anywhere so when I saw that set on sale I snatched it up!
So I took a little time off to just relax and de-stress, but I’m back and I brought a new lip product to review! I’ve recently made purchased a couple of products from E.L.F Cosmetics and of them is the E.L.F Studio Gotta Glow Lip Tint. I was super interested in this because of this lipstick is suppose to react to your chemistry and give you a lip color that is perfectly yours.
‘This innovative lip tint reacts with the chemistry of your lips to deliver a personalized, perfect shade of pink! The ethereal hue gives a sheer flush of color that enhances the natural beauty of your lips. The gel-based formula glides on smoothly and is infused with Shea Butter to moisturize and nourish.’
So to be honest I did not think this would work well, but not only do I love it, it also hydrates my lips so well. The color it gives me is a sort of dark hot pink which surprisingly matches well with my skin tone and seems to just blend seamlessly on my lips. I keep this lip tint at work and I only have to re apply it once or maybe twice a work day. Also it does not stain coffee cups so that starbucks lid stays surprisingly clean and doesn’t look like a clown is drinking it.
I recommend this for anyone who is on a budget that needs a lip tint that compliments them.
