I bought this mask for a dollar off List so honestly I was not expecting anything great. This peel off mask is supposed to be super peely (that’s not even a word….) so I was careful only to use it on my nose, chin and forehead, no sensitive places like my cheeks. This black mask is super tough and I was surprised that it actually went down into my pores to get those blackheads and nasty dead skin that blocks my skin.
This does take a very long time to dry and you need to lay it on super thick to make sure that when you peel off it does not hurt. Like I said before it’s definitely a toughie so I wouldn’t use it every day maybe twice a week at the most (for me).

This comes in 8 packets and each packet is one mask. In my opinion you can totally use each packet at least twice, so it’s really 16 masks if you feel like saving half. Your suppose to use this twice a week to achieve healthier and plumper looking skin. I’ve used this a couple of times and I am so surprised by how it makes my face feel. It’s so smooth and soft. It smells just like coconut (which is one of my favorite smells) and it creamy and slides onto my skin smoothly.
I applied a liberal amount in a circular motion to my skin and sit around for 15 minutes. As a warning try not to touch your face or accidentally brush up against something. This mask does not really harden or dry, it stays pretty moist and can get messy if you are not careful. I found the mask a little hard to wash off since it is so thick and creamy, but surprisingly it’s easy to wash out of my hair.
My face felt incredibly smooth and Hydrated. I followed the mask up with my usual routine of toner, serum and moisterizer.
This is perfect for sensitive skin!
Have you tried any masks recently?
As you know from my first post Make up cuts 1 I am trying to go through the enormous amount of make up I have collected and just get rid of those I know I did not like, I don’t use or is just not the colors for me. So I have a couple of more products to bring to you.
Covergirl Plumpify Blastpro Mascara
This was such a disappointing mascara. It was suppose to add volume to my lashes, and while it did add some volume it didn’t really do anything to them. Waste of money.
Mullein & Sparrow all nature lip and cheek tint
I really wanted to like this product. It’s vegan friendly and cruelty free so when I got the product in one of my beauty subscription boxes I was excited. I tried it on my cheeks first and the color just wasn’t me. I decided to use it on my lips and just made it feel unpleasant and scratchy.
BH Cosmetics California Collection sample
I also got this product in one of my beauty subscription boxes, I however just didn’t get around to using it, and just never felt the need to. I will say I did try it once, but wasn’t too big a fan. Plus I have so many shadows that I really love to use that these sort of just got put on the wayside.
So far I know I haven’t made too much of a dent in my current stash, but they say ‘slow and steady wins the race’ (I know I’m not racing but whatevs)
Do you have any products your getting rid of?
– No Smell
What it’s suppose to do:
– Gently Exfoliate
– Reduce pores
– Tightening and toning
What’s in it?
– Dead Sea Mud
– Shea Butter
– Sun flower oil
– Aloe Vera Juice
– Jojoba oil
– Hickory Bark Extract
This stuff is thick, but with mud in the title I should have guessed. However it’s pretty fun to spread on your face. It makes me think of being a kid and playing in the mud and making mud pies. I will not be making mud pies with this, however a healthier face is exactly what I want to play at.
Did this stuff tightening my skin? Yes. Did it reduce pores? Yes. Did it Exfoliate? Yes. Detoxify? To be honest I’m not sure. As much as I feel like this cleansed my skin, it also felt like it may have been to harsh for it. My skin is very sensitive and this seems like it would really help someone with oily skin as opposed my sensitive combination skin.

It’s been cold and rainy this winter here in Southern California and the weather has been wreaki8ng havoc on my skin. My Face especially. Fortunately for me I’ve been in contact with Valentia and I was offered to try their new Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask.
Valentia’s Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask (another long name!) is suppose to leave you with intense hydrated, younger looking skin (Not that I want to look any younger. Anyone else almost thirty getting carded for rated R movies?). This mask contains Silk Protein Amino Acids, Botanical Hyaluronic acid, Vitamini E and CoQ10 which helps boost elasticity.
So I applied the product all over my face in a thin layer, you can leave the product on for 15-30 minutes. I usually left it on for 30. The mask cautions that you will feel a slight tingling sensation (Not burning, this is very important!)
The mask looks like banana pudding and I giggled when I first had to dip my fingers in to apply it to my face. While the product was cold I was surprised by it’s light weight feel. It was almost light I wasn’t wearing anything at all on my face which I liked. I also felt no tingling sensation, but I was not so disappointed about that.
After using this product for a month my face is looking very hydrated and I have no annoyingly dry patches on my face that usually comes during this time of the year.
You can purchase Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration mask HERE
What are you currently using to combat the cold weather?
The Cold weather tends to dry my face out, so sheet masks tend to help a lot. Plus they make your selfies funny.
Anyway this Sunday I’m sharing with you Beauty Friends Kiwi Sheet mask. This mask is suppose to make skin smooth and soft while cleaning and moisturizing. I received this from my August Mask Maven bag.
I loved using this, my skin felt so soft! The one gripe I had about the Kiwi sheet mask was the smell. To me it smelled like dirt and it bothered me so much!
I have so many masks to use that I am not sure if I will purchase this mask again or not.
Any masks your loving lately?
So every Sunday night I like to do what I call ‘Facial Fun Time’. On this day I like to use new face and hair products and just give my face that bit of extra boost for the week to come.
This past sunday I used my sample of Caudalie Instant Detox Mask. I’ve never used any Caudalie products before so I had no high or low expectation going in. The sample was a bit tiny but theres a surprisingly large amount of product, you can easily get a least two uses from it.
The Mask spread easily and you only need a thin layer on your face. It takes about 10 minutes to dry. When I put it on I felt a tingling sensation right away. It was not painful but just felt weird. I took it to mean it was working and my face just really needed it. (may have been a mistake)
I noticed it did not dry evenly, not sure why that is. It was also surprisingly dificult to clean off my face. I used warm water and a clean wash cloth. I had to go over my face several times before I got the mask completely off.
My skin is very sensative and when I was dome getting the mask off, my face was very red and irritated.
So it’s safe to say this is not recommended for sensitive skin, and because of that I will not be purchasing the fill size.
So I’ve seen quite a few bloggers do this and I was intrigued by the idea so I thought Why not? I have so many samples I’ve gotten that it seems like a shame that I don’t share my experiences of actually using the samples, especially if I purchase the product afterwards.
Today’s samples is HEY HONEY take it off exfoliating honey peel off mask. I’m not normally a big fan of honey (It’s sticky and tends to get everywhere) but I am such a big fan of peel off masks. The size sample I got was enough for 2-3 uses.
Hey Honey peel off mask was easy to use, it spread easily across my face and didn’t goop everywhere like some masks I’ve had before. It dried evenly which was great and it also peeled off really well. Be careful not to get any product in your eyebrows or in your hair as it was super tough to get out .
As well as going on well, it made my skin feel so soft and clean. I am totally going to get the full size as soon as I run out of my current peel off mask.
So I took a little time off to just relax and de-stress, but I’m back and I brought a new lip product to review! I’ve recently made purchased a couple of products from E.L.F Cosmetics and of them is the E.L.F Studio Gotta Glow Lip Tint. I was super interested in this because of this lipstick is suppose to react to your chemistry and give you a lip color that is perfectly yours.
‘This innovative lip tint reacts with the chemistry of your lips to deliver a personalized, perfect shade of pink! The ethereal hue gives a sheer flush of color that enhances the natural beauty of your lips. The gel-based formula glides on smoothly and is infused with Shea Butter to moisturize and nourish.’
So to be honest I did not think this would work well, but not only do I love it, it also hydrates my lips so well. The color it gives me is a sort of dark hot pink which surprisingly matches well with my skin tone and seems to just blend seamlessly on my lips. I keep this lip tint at work and I only have to re apply it once or maybe twice a work day. Also it does not stain coffee cups so that starbucks lid stays surprisingly clean and doesn’t look like a clown is drinking it.
I recommend this for anyone who is on a budget that needs a lip tint that compliments them.
See ya soon!
