I love masks, as almost everyone I know does. Not only do they help your skin, but they are fun to use. I recently purchased this e.l.f Mattifying Mask and I really wasted no time in using it. I really love clay masks but they can break the bank, seeing that e.l.f Cosmetics has this beauty for only $8 you know I had to get it. Apparently it has French Green clay, which is a little weird since the mask isn’t green, but It is what it is. This mask deep cleans your skin while minimizing the appearance of pores, which I recently have been having a problem with. Plus with summer my face tends to look shiny so I hoped this would help. Plus it’s vegan and cruelty free so Hello? a win-win all around.
The mask was easy to spread across my face and was smooth in texture. Plus I realized early on that a little actually goes a long way, which is great. It makes me optimistic that this mask would last me a while. It took around 10 mins for it to dry completely, which is fast as most clay masks take at least 15. my face was not shiny at all and I noticed a different with my pores. My skin was also very smooth, and not dry at all like most other masks. This would be a great morning mask to use on those light make up days. When I am out I am most certainly repurchasing!
So I took last week off, mostly because I was busy with the house. I have been moving stuff around and just doing a deep spring clean. My allergies have also been off the charts, and my sinuses have just been completely unpleasant. Plus, I also think that bloggers have to realize that it is okay to take some time off we don’t always need to be there. However, just because I wasn’t blogging, does not mean that I wasn’t pampering myself with face masks.
I’ve had the Yadah pomegranate vitalizing face mask for a while, and I finally decided to use it. It is meant to minimize the look of fine lines as well as moisturize the face. The mask was thin, which I liked and was covered with essence. There was a faint perfume smell, nothing pomegranate which I thought was a little weird, but it did not bother me. The Sheet covered my face fairly well (except for the nose, they never cover my nose).
The essence feed my skin and soaked up very well leaving my fave soft and feeling great. I do recommend this on those days that your face needs just a slight fix.
After I use any clay masks or Detox masks I always use a Sheet Mask. It is typically the best way to moisturize my face after going through a harsher mask. After using the Pink Clay mask I picked this beauty up to try out.
There was so much essence in the pack, and when I took the mask out it was drenched. This of course made the mask a bit hard to unfold as it kept sticking together. It also made it ridiculously easy to stay on my face.
While it fit pretty well over most of my face, it did not cover my nose at all, which was a bit disappointing as my nose is usually the place that I have no problem with. I left the mask on for around 30 mins and it still was pretty wet when I took it off. My face felt amazing though! so soft, smooth and hydrated. I think I dare even say one of the best sheet masks I have ever used. I know Kohls sells this for around $3.99 which isn’t too bad. I will definitely be buying more once I run out of masks.
I had really high hopes for this mask. I’ve been seeing Sand & Sky Purifying Pink Clay Mask everywhere and I really want to try it. I finally got a sample in my Birchbox. I used it on a particularly bad skin week, the winter weather was especially brutal on my skin and I could physically feel my skin becoming horrid.
I was really surprised at how runny this was. Typically clay masks are thick and smooth.
The mask did go on smooth, but I was surprised at how light the pink coloring was, it looked always white. It came off super easy, so I didn’t have to scrub at my skin.
Sand & Sky boasts that this mask reduces pores, brightens & detoxifies skin. I can say that my skin looked amazing after use. It pretty much caused my brittle, cracked, dry and porous skin to do a 360. I am seriously debating if $50 is worth it for this mask because I really liked it and may purchase it. I would love to see how this mask does after multiple uses.
Do you own Sand & Sky Pink Clay Mask?
So in my quest to use up all my samples, I discovered that I had this face mask. I’ve been wanting to try this for a long time, so happy I have it. So it has a heavy floral smell but I think you guys already figured that out.
Made with Rosewater, cucumber, algae, and green tea this is supposed to sooth, tone, brighten, hydrate and protect. I used it after a long bath after washing my face. It was cold on my face and did feel good. My face was smooth too! however it really irritated my sensitive skin, I ended up getting red bumps that took a couple of days to go away. I am so disappointed that I am going to have to toss this out. I was thinking about trying it again, just to make sure but I really do not want to experience that again.
If you used this before let me know if it worked, I’m really interested to see how it worked. It’s a bit pricey 100ml for $62 so I guess I’m a bit happy I didn’t fall in love with it considering.
It’s been a while since I’ve used a sheet mask. I just haven’t had the time to really relax like I need, but this Sunday I made time to do a little pampering with TONYMOLY Broccoli vitality mask. I wanted a pick me up for my face since I feel it has a bit dull. The mask itself didn’t really smell like anything which I loved, it was also was very gentle and hydrating on my skin. I know I need to do this a lot more, especially since it’s summer and I’ve been working out everyday and my face gets dirty and clogged.
I haven’t done this in a while and I am so excited! I started this blog doing beauty and it is one thing I really don’t think I’ll ever stop doing.
I got this no:hj Healing Anti-pore Mask in one of my Beautique Mask Maven bags and it is great and exactly what I have been needing. I have problem with the pores on my nose the most and this sheet mask while it did minimize my pores it did not get rid of it all, which I didn’t think it would. I really liked it though and it made my face super soft and smooth. I’ll definitely want to try another one.
Welcome to another Sample Sunday, this time I tried Ladykin Green Harmony Pumkin Mask Pack. You can check out last weeks Sample Sunday HERE
Honestly I expected this to smell more like Pumpkin than it did. It really didn’t smell like anything. This does come in multiple flavors, scents, fruits? Plus it’s only $3 so the price isn’t bad. This was a pretty good way to moisturize my skin after the winter chill has been drying it out. It suppose to soothe and soften skin which it absolutely did. However it also said to have anti-inflammatory properties that I didn’t actually see too much of which was disappointing. for my sensitive skin it didn’t hurt it in any way. If you are suffering from dried skin this is for you. however if your skin is oily I wouldn’t recommend. If you have combination skin I would only apply it to the dry spots. I wish the container was resealable since it had way too much for my face and I would have loved to safe it for another day.
I am so glad to be doing this again it’s been a while and honestly I’ve just been so busy that I couldn’t pamper myself like I usually do, but it’s back now!
This sample was from one of Mask Mavens (which I miss but I’m way too poor to have another subscription). This Sunday it is The Yeon Jeju Enery Live Pack.
When I first used the product I didn’t notice the Cooling part on the package and well it’s super cold winter up here in Idaho, this is not a good combination. It was so cold on my face, plus they had these pulp like things in the mask which I think I was suppose to rub in, I’m not too sure. This is suppose to Moisturize your skin while soaking in loads of vitamins. I kept the mask on for about 15 mins and then rinsed my face. It came off pretty easy however I didn’t feel too much in the way of moisture. My skin did have a slight glow to it and it felt pretty good. I am thinking this would make a good addition to a summer skincare routine, but it didn’t do enough for my face for the winter.
Have you tried this product before?
