Lately I have been so busy! I started my pace summer classes so that is taking up so much time, but not only that I started a new job. So far I’ve been doing good and I just wanted to let you all know.
With this new job I am working full time and I am able to actually dress up for it. I really want to show you all what I am wearing for it since I’ve been really into style and fashion lately. I hope I’ll be doing a haul soon since I bought some new shoes and I just want to show you all what I bought. Don’t expect designer though since I have like zero spending cash right now. I need to get that paycheck.
I am thinking of trying some fashion subscriptions, anyone know of any they recommend, I’ve tried Golden Tote and love it but I am just wondering if there are any others.
I don’t use Facebook very often, but since I don’t live around all my family anymore I scroll through it every once in a while to check on things. Once I’ve seen how my cousins kids are, find out whose engaged and where this person ate I then start to hit that section of Facebook that makes me regret opening the social media app in the first place.I
You know that dark back alley of Facebook that leads to Animal Abuse, Fist Fight videos and Political views that make me want to rip my hair out. It’s that not so special place that sky rockets my anxiety and stress and makes me loose faith in humanity. I know that I could block it, but I get sucked in and by the time I realize to do it I am so mentally drained that I just shut it all down.
I SHUT IT ALL DOWN.
Really I should delete it, but it’s how I communicate with some people. When you live a couple of states away from your family and friends that I can’t really afford to delete it. That’s what makes me hate it so much, that I want to delete it but I can’t and Grrr….
Thats really the only way I can describe myself after thinking about Facebook.
Sorry about the not posting but planning a trip in a day, then packing, Making sure the animals are taken care of took priority over scheduling my blog posts. Oh, where did we go? Well back home to California, with a pit stop in Vegas. My bestie graduated this weekend and last minute we got confirmation that we can go.
Wow was it the best and worse experience of this year.
First off, halfway on the drive down to Vegas the hubby got sick suddenly, fever, exhaustion, and nausea hit all at once and I had to take over the long weary drive while he passed out in the passenger seat.
Secondly the hotel was not the best hotel that we checked into. Now I don’t usually stay at 5 star hotels because of budget but this was a 2 at best, but honestly what did we expect when your on a budget and need a hotel room in 2 days in Vegas, you can’t be picky.
We then got up very early in the morning to make the long drive to Southern California where we visited the Parents. We then attended the party where I may or may not have acted appropriately, but it was amazing to see all my friends and act like I don’t like 14 hours away.
We then took the long drive back to Vegas where we passed out. When we awoke the next morning it was my turn to be sick so much so that I immediately passed out when we came home and did not get up until 6:30 the next day.
This weekend was a freaking whirlwind….
I won’t lie I have tons of make up brushes but that doesn’t stop me from buying more especially when they are on sale and these beauties were. I like having lots of brushes because I can pick and choose which ones I feel like using. I feel in love with these because I like the colors and simplistic look to them. I find as I get old I just like simple looking products now, anything with flare tends to turn me off
The bristles on the brush are soft and flexible, it doesn’t irritate my face or eye lid when using them. I purchased the Foundation brush, The Flat Top brush and Crease brush because I have yet to have those in my collection. The brushes are of course cruelty free and are made to mimic the consistency of a natural hair brush.
They work great so far and I have yet to see any of the bristles fall out. They seem really durable and can handle a cleaning. The only weird thing is the ergonomic handles as my fingers don’t really want to go in the little grooves that were provided for them.
Overall I really like them and I don’t regret the purchase.
Have you bought any new brushes lately?
Try saying Sea Salk Soak Ten times fast, it’s a bit of a tongue twister, what doesn’t get my tongue twisted is relaxing in a Luxurious soak after a long day at work. I got saw this Dorian Grey Bath and Body Collection on my Jane app and I knew I had to get it since it was on sale and I want to try different bath products. Don’t get me wrong I still absolutely love LUSH but I want to be adventurous and try new things
I am so glad I did too, I got this soak in Honey Mango and it smells devine (when I pair it with my Manga Salsa Yankee Candle, I am in Mango Heaven). The Sea Salt Soak refreshes my body while calming my nerves and de-stressing me after a long day of dealing with rude people.
The one thing I will say is that the soak does turn my bath water a suspiciously yellow color that I am pretty sure that if anyone sees it would probably think I did something disgusting. Good thing I am the only one in the bathroom when I bathe…
I’ll stop now before this post turns weird.
What have you been bathing with lately?
So you all know that I went to Sephora and got myself a couple of Birthday Presents. The Headliner kit from Milk was one of them. I’m trying to use more Cruelty Free products and when I saw this brand I pretty much fell in love. I so love simplicity and modern style so I was pretty excited to grab this little sample kit.
Milk Cosmetics prides themselves on being cruelty free and giving you the best make up technology with the most natural ingredients possible. They seem like a fun energetic brand.
Included in this kit are:
The Cooling Water is meant to be applied around your eyes when they are puffy or just when it’s a bit of a hot day and you need a bit of a refresher.
There’s no fragrance to the Cooling Water so you don’t have to worry about any unwanted smells
The Container is quick and easy to open and use plus you can just twist the bottom to push it up and get more.
I have yet to have to use this, however with the recent spike in temperature I may need to get this out.
The Ubame Mascara is made from Ubame Oak Charcoal and Sapphire dust. I’ve never heard of any of those products in a mascara before.
Once again no weird smell (yay)
The applicator is easy to use even if I did think it a little long, It brushed through my lashes pretty good and was very pigmented. It added both volume and length but not to the extreme.
The mascara was also very easy to take off with my make up eraser. so no lash pulling for me
This is a Vegan Product that includes ingredients like Shea butter and coconut oil. It is also suppose to a Melt Technology that makes it instantly glide over your lips no problem
This was super pigmented and I can tell that this lip color would last all day. Dip Out is a wine like color that is perfect for fall.
I wouldn’t necesscarily say this glided over my lips. The texture was super weird and because of the Demi-Matte finished (which honestly didn’t look DEMI matter but rather full matte) you were able to see every crack and line that my lip had to offer. Was not very flattering.
The Make up wipe has yet to be use, but I’ll keep it in my bag for one of those just in case situations. So what do you think about MILK cosmetics?.
Everyday I wake up to a tiny grey paw in my face..
This is Mordechai my grey tiger striped tabby cat. He is hungry and wants food now. I roll myself out of bed and get him a can of his digestive health wet food. Tesla then comes bolting out of the bedroom because ‘How dare mommy not pay her attention first’ she then, after scolding me, waits patiently by the back door to be let out for her morning bathroom break. After they are settled and fed I proceed to make myself a couple cups of coffee in our old school coffee maker.
Our Keurig decided to quit and walked out on me.
I have to be careful when making my coffee. I only allow myself two cups, since that one time I drank a whole pot and felt like I wanted to puke and simultaneously run a 5k without stopping. I then load two pieces of white bread into my toaster that is on it’s last leg. I have a feeling he’s going to join the Keurig soon. After I butter my toast and poor my coffee into my husband’s mug.
I am forbidden to use this mug but I continue to do so because I have my rebellious reasons, I may be 30 but I need my stubborn child side sometimes.
I then settle down to either do one of two things.; I read or type a blog post. This morning blogging won out as I have some motivation and I refuse to let that leave me. Since I’ve decided to write four blogs I need to make sure that take every opportunity presented to me. When this is done I browse Instagram for a while until I am ready to take my shower and dress.
Then it’s time to start running errands.
What do you do on the morning of your day off?
I bought this mask for a dollar off List so honestly I was not expecting anything great. This peel off mask is supposed to be super peely (that’s not even a word….) so I was careful only to use it on my nose, chin and forehead, no sensitive places like my cheeks. This black mask is super tough and I was surprised that it actually went down into my pores to get those blackheads and nasty dead skin that blocks my skin.
This does take a very long time to dry and you need to lay it on super thick to make sure that when you peel off it does not hurt. Like I said before it’s definitely a toughie so I wouldn’t use it every day maybe twice a week at the most (for me).
I don’t know if you know this about me but I am a huge star wars fan. I have seen the movies (yes even the freaking prequels) probably hundreds of times. I constantly am buying Star Wars merchandise. I even have the books!!!! So I am upset that I cannot properly stay at home, wear my wookie onesie and binge watch all the Star Wars movies while drinking Champagne and eating Neapolitan Ice cream. I will be working….
When I was younger I used to have dreams of being a Jedi, I still dream but this time I may or may not be a Sith instead (the darkside has cookies!!!) While I am at work I will be most likely day dreaming of making my own light saber, Looking up at the twin suns of Tatooine or having my very own Ewok tribe friends (although they are cannibals soooo….) Anyway I’m rambling What I really wanted to say was
HAPPY MAY THE 4TH!!!!
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
Like I said in my Not Your Mother’s Pump for joy review that I’ve really been trying new things with my hair. I picked up this Shampoo and Conditioner because The weather has really done a number on my hair. Split ends seemed like it was in my very near future. This was Cruelty free and vegan friendly so I immediately wanted to try it.
I will say one thing it packs so much moisture into my hair. The shampoo is thick and has the texture of slime so that was a bit off putting at first. also it was really hard to spread and it produces very minimal suds so I feel like I use a lot. The conditioner is much more creamier but it flies out of the bottle and I get a lot in my hands (and floor)
My hair has been much more moisturized, maybe too much honestly, it feels thicker and much more healthy than it normally does. The smell is also amazing, almost like guava. This would be a great shampoo and conditioner for winter, but seems too much for spring and summer. maybe I’ll store it away until then.
