I have a couple of ELF shadows and I have yet to be disappointed with any of them. The Prism palette is a bit smaller than most palettes I own, with six colors ranging from a soft pink to a lovely purple this palette does encompass the colors one would find in a sunset

Sample Sunday II

Hey Kittens,

Another Sunday, another sample. Today’s sample is Dove Go Fresh Revitalize Body Wash. I got this sample from a Beauty Box 5.

Dove Body Wash

This wash is Mandarin & Tiare flower scent which I love. This wash claims to give softer, smoother skin after one shower, and yes my skin did feel really soft. However, I did not get that squeaky clean feeling I usually get after a shower. I usually like using exfoliating scrubs and this was far from it.

The Soap was a creamy texture and I will admit it would be very good for someone who suffers from dry skin or really good in the winter. I would be buying the fulll size but I wouldn’t discount it out.

Sample Sunday I

Hey Kittens,
So I’ve seen quite a few bloggers do this and I was intrigued by the idea so I thought Why not? I have so many samples I’ve gotten that it seems like a shame that I don’t share my experiences of actually using the samples, especially if I purchase the product afterwards.

Hey Honey Mask

Today’s samples is HEY HONEY take it off exfoliating honey peel off mask. I’m not normally a big fan of honey (It’s sticky and tends to get everywhere) but I am such a big fan of peel off masks. The size sample I got was enough for 2-3 uses.

Hey Honey peel off mask was easy to use, it spread easily across my face and didn’t goop everywhere like some masks I’ve had before. It dried evenly which was great and it also peeled off really well. Be careful not to get any product in your eyebrows or in your hair as it was super tough to get out .

As well as going on well, it made my skin feel so soft and clean. I am totally going to get the full size as soon as I run out of my current peel off mask.

ELF Precision Liquid Eyeliner Review

ELF precision Liquid Liner

Hey kittens!

So I’ve recently been wanting to try out more liquid liners, but with my current money situation (or lack there of ) I haven’t had a chance to purchase any new liners. Thank you ELF and their affordable cosmetics.

I’ve recently obtained their Precision Liquid Eyeliner in black and to be honest I’ve had my doubts. While I absolutely adore most of their products I have not had any luck with any of their liners. I’m not sure if it’s because my lids are oily or their formula is wonky, but most of their liners smear, crack or run and by the end of the day I look a mess. Read more

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo Review

DSC_0853 DSC_0856Hey Kittens,

So with the drought in California going on I’m trying to save more water and by doing that I am not washing my hair every day which cuts my time by about 10 minutes! What has allowed me to go without washing my everyday is using dry shampoo that way I don’t look like a greasy dirty person (YAY!). I’ve recently saved up some points from Birchbox and I thought what better way to spend my points by buying some new Dry shampoo.  I decided to go with Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo  because it was the best value and had the highest review rating. First thing I noticed when using the dry shampoo was that I love the smell, it has a small floral smell which doesn’t over power my senses. One thing I was disappointed in was it left a white residue on my hair when sprayed, but this was quickly resolved by a couple of sweeps with my boar bristle brush. I also feel like it doesn’t completely make my hair feel clean like other dry shampoos does, however I’ve noticed that hair looks less oily after I use it.

Overall, I am not sure if I would purchase this again as I feel the need to use more than normal.

Love ya!

Queen Helene Grape Peel-off Masque Review

DSC_0819 DSC_0827Hey Kittens!

So Today I bring you Queen Helene Grape Seed Peel-Off Masque. This was a impulse buy at my Local Bed, Bath and Beyond, I had gone for deodorant, and left with a armful of products (isn’t that how it always is?). I love peel-off masks, I kinda turn into a little girl when I peel it off and pretend It’s my skin, don’t tell me you all don’t do the same! This mask is meant for Normal To combination skin and is meant to unclog pores, while brightening and evening out your complexion. On my first tie using it it was so hard to get out of the tube that the packaging tore towards the top, not whenever I try to use it it also comes out of the hole which annoys the me so much!

The Product is sticky almost like it’s already partly dried, which makes the product very hard to spread on my face evenly, I usually end up with more on certain parts of my face then necessary. This also makes it harder to avoid eyebrows and my hair line, which as anyone who has used a peel off mask knows is extremely hard to remove from hair. it takes approx 10-15 mins for the product to dry on my face. The mask is easy to remove (and fun!) and makes my skin feel so soft and smooth, I do believe it does unclog my pores, I am not sure about evening out or brightening my skin tone as I don’t have to much of a problem with that.

Over all I really like the mask, I just wish It was not so hard to get out of the squeeze tube so I didn’t tear a hole in it.

Have you used Queen Helene Grape See Peel-off Masque?

Azure Naturals Ultimate Retinol Anti-Wrinkle serum*

Azure Naturals

Hey Cats!

So the Posts that I had scheduled for Monday and Tuesday had an error, not sure what happened there but I’m disappointed. Anyways, enough about that I have a new product to talk about! Azure Naturals Ultimate Retinol Anti Wrinkle Serum, This is the first time I am trying a Retinol Serum, I was a little hesitant at first to try this out (as I am when I have new products I have never used before) but I decided to give it a shot.

I’m two years from turning 30 and well wrinkles are starting to form especially around my eyes, forehead and mouth so hopefully using the Retinol Serum will help prevent the wrinkles from fully forming.

Before I start let me explain what Retinol is. Retinol is a form of Vitamin A that has been synthesized to allow for small portion to be applied to the skin. Retinol has been used in dietary suppliments for Vision loss.

What Azure Natural Ultimate Retinol Anti-wrinkle Serum promises is to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, improve pigmentation, skin tone and increase skin hydration levels.

You should use the Serum before bed during your nightly skin care routine. You start your routine as normal by washing, masking and toning your face. You would apply the Retinol Serum before your moisturizer, allowing for the serum to dry.

The serum is clear and not oily at all. I only applied the serum to parts of my face as needed which is my forehead, eyes and around my mouth. Since this is the first time I am using Retinol Serum I use the serum every other day.

I’ve noticed that a that some of the fine lines around my eye have started to fade slightly, and also the lines around my mouth as well. The lines on my forehead are slightly larger and deeper and I have yet to see any change.

I do recommend Azure Natural Ultimate Retinol Anti Wrinkle Serum if you are having a problem with fine lines and wrinkles, however I don’t think you should use this as a preventative. Check Out the Retinol Serum HERE

Have you ever tried a Retinol Serum before? How did that work for you?

*This product was given to me in exchange for a honest Review*

NYX Le Frou Frou Volume + Length Mascara Review

Le Frou Frou Mascara DSC_0946 DSC_0947

Hey Kittens,

So I’ve recently purchased this from my local CVS, I’ve never tried NYX mascaras and this one caught my eye. The NYX Le Frou Frou is a Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara, this is a part of NYX Boudoir Mascara Collection. The Mascara Comes with a Dense Dome brush, that I felt the bristles felt very stiff and hard.

I had high hopes for this mascara as NYX is one of my favorite drug store brands and usually have never let me down. This mascara does Lengthen like it states however I was so disappointed with the volume it provided. I felt like it barely added any! My cheeks were relatively clean from fallout but my upper eyelid kept getting spots throughout the day from the mascara.

Although I will keep using this mascara, I don’t recommend it if you want a mascara that adds volume.

Have you tried any of NYX mascaras? How did you like them?

C. Booth Mimosa Honeysuckle Shaving Oil Review

C. Booth Shaving oil

I am always looking new things to try out and while perusing around Rite Aid the other day I found C. Booth Mimosa Honeysuckle Shaving Oil. I’ve never heard of this brand before but it did catch my attention with it’s old school styling. Plus It’s a shaving oil and I’ve never tried that before.

I decided to use it while shaving my legs, and I decided that I absolutely love this stuff. It doesn’t clog up my razor like most shaving creams do and it makes my skin super soft. Plus I had minimal razor burn (my skin is sensitive to a razor)

Taken from Freeman Website:

‘This ultra-nourishing shave oil delivers what messy, drying creams just can’t! Apply for superior conditioning that nourishes , softens the hair, enhances razor glide, and guards against ingrown hairs. A bubbly blend of Champagne Grapes, Grapefruit, and Orange are topped off with the sweet scent of trumpet Honeysuckle.’

The one thing I don’t like so much is the scent. It’s not really citrus and not really honeysuckle it’s a weird mixture of both that somewhat assaults my sense of smell. However, just be warned that I am very sensitive to smells.

Another thing that bothers me is the size of the bottle, it’s a bit too small and I have a feeling that I will be using this up pretty fast, at least it’s not very expensive so I don’t mind too much, I just wish it was bigger.

Have you ever tried C. Booth Mimosa Honeysuckle shaving oil? What do you use to shave your legs?

Ain’t nobody dope as me I’m just so fresh and so clean! Not Soap, Radio ‘Bubbles, Not Carbs’ Exfoliating shower gel review

So I heard of Not Soap, Radio from Birchbox (See Post HERE) and I pretty much fell in love. I decided to purchase the Bubbles, Not Carbs Temptation Resistance Exfoliating body wash because I am trying to lose weight and I just really like the message on the bottle. The ingredients include Aloe Vera Gel, Shea Butter, and Avocado oil and the scent is so pleasant with hints of mandarin and guava two smells I absolutely love.

From Not Soap, Radio website;

Put down that cookie, step away from the refrigerator and into warm bubbles infused with orange and horse chestnut extracts said to tone and firm skin and help reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Tune in, bliss out, slough off: During bath or shower, apply a small handful to loofah or lather directly onto damp skin and gently massage in a circular motion. Dry skin, done, gone. Radiant, smooth skin in place. Perfect to use before shaving.
Discover you are better than that potato. You have the inner reserve and strength to conquer anything, slay any dragon, resist any cake. Fortitude in the face of fries. Emerge from the water finding you love yourself a little more than you did yesterday.’

It states that the scent helps reduce your craving for sweets and that Horse nut chestnut extract (which it also has) helps improve circulation and reduce cellulite. Fortunately for me I don’t have much cellulite or poor circulation so I can’t tell you if it helps on that front but as far as the temptation resistance goes well Thanksgiving just passed and I loaded up on Carbs causing me to gain Three Pounds (You guys should now be getting a hint on what my New Years Resolution is) but I’m not sure if that is just circumstance (Hello, It’s Thanksgiving you gotta eat!) or what.

I can tell you though that after washing my body with this I feel smoother than a baby’s bottom and I smell so Fresh and so Clean that I think Outkast pretty much made that song about me. I am definitely loving this stuff! I will be purchasing more from them in the future to try other scents as well as pick me up a lotion of this stuff.
