#ManicureMonday Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat

Over the course of a week I broke 3 nails, this, of course, required me to drastically shorten my nail length. So I decided that I need to strengthen my nails a bit. This is where the perfect formula Pink Gel Coat comes in. This polish is supposed to infuse protein into your nails to Strengthen and seal your nails so that when you’re trying to get your new puppy into her playpen, or trying to stop your cats from climbing your Christmas tree you won’t break a nail. Now while it does say pink, when you put the polish on your nail it is a very light pink that you see. No hot or neon pink. It’s more like a baby pink. It lasts about a week and while they state that you only need 1 coat I do recommend two. Hopefully but using this baby my nails won’t break when I am trying clean up the various bones and toys around the house. The cost is really steep, $30 for this baby, but if it works it should be worth it right?

How you every used a Perfect Formula Nail Polish? How did you like them?

#ManicureMonday Aurora Gel Effect

Since it’s getting closer to Christmas I wanted to wear red nail polish. I only really have 2 red polishes something that I need to rectify and soon. I picked the Aurora Gel Effect in Flaming Red because I want to see if it was really close to Gel. It’s an orangey red that stands out. It doesn’t require a UV light which is great. The polish is thinner than I thought it would be. I was hoping that the polish would only require one coat, but you need at least 2 to thoroughly coat your nails. It was a bit streaky, probably because of the thinness of it. It did, however, last a long time and didn’t start to chip until the 5th day of wear. While it isn’t as good as having gel done in the salon, it is a close second. I’ll definitely check out the different colors, but Vampire Red has really caught my eye. Plus at $7 it’s not a break the bank situation.
