So I got my June Birchbox which was somewhat of a surprise., as I kinda forgot about it. I feel kinda just burnt out with all my subscription boxes, it just doesn’t feel like I am getting anything new, but I don’t want to cancel them. I am just stuck in this weird limbo.
The color of this month’s box is pretty but not pretty enough for me to save so It got tossed into the recycle bin. I find I like to keep the prettier boxes to hold small things or to organize my junk drawer. Yes I have a Junk Drawer.
CoTZ Sensative SPF 40 Retail: $20
‘All skin deserves to be babied, but there are some skin types that need just a little bit of extra T.L.C., especially when it comes to sun protection. This gentle mineral complex is soft and sheer, and it works to protect and soothe even the most sensitive skin. Recommended by dermatologists, CoTZ SENSITIVE provides your skin only with what it needs—and irritating additives can check themselves at the door.’
So I am allergic to most sunscreens, I get painful small red bumps that burn and itch. It is not at all pleasant. That makes me hesitant to use this product, I may just give to someone who can actually Use it.
L. Erickson Grab & go Pony. Retail: $18
‘Whether you’re taking center stage in barre class or prepping for a night out dancing with your friends, your hair will be the only thing not making moves, thanks to these sturdy, nondamaging elastic bands. Keep this Grab & Go tube of 15 metal-free ponytail holders in your purse, desk, or car so you’ll always have one on-hand.’
So a pony tail? I guess it is useful, I do have long hair and the summer is here officially now, but I am a bit disappointed with this. It’s like they didn’t know what to put so they just tossed in a random object.
Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Day Tint
‘Wearing foundation when our skin is ultradry is a tricky balancing act: We want to hide redness and irritation, but not accentuate any dry spots or chapping. Enter this multitasking cream from Dr. Jart+: It’s formulated with ceramides, the naturally-occuring lipid molecules that are lacking in severely dry skin, for intense hydration—and its sheer tint covers imperfections and leaves our complexion looking smooth and bright. What’s more, this derm-developed formula also protects against pollution and offers SPF 15 sun protection’
I was excited about this until I got a whiff and wow does it just smell like one huge tube of chemicals. Maybe if I use it the smell will fade away but boy was it super strong.
Temple Spa Good Hair Day Shampoo. Retail: $14
‘Good hair day? Psshh! Have a good hair LIFE with this multifunctional shampoo that not only cleans and conditions, but also works overtime to add texture and prevent damage. Your frizz-free mane can finally rebound from split ends and turn up the volume on soft, healthy hair’
I don’t mind getting shampoo and Conditioner as samples in my box I really don’t it just when they list it as two separate items does that kinda upset me. At least They sent me both and not just the shampoo
Temple Spa In Good Condition Conditioner. Retail: $14
It may take two to tango, but it only takes one great conditioner to detangle! This repairing product helps eliminate styling damage, all while hydrating, thickening and softening. With antibacterial benefits and special ingredients, we’re sure this formula will leave your hair and scalp in mint (and grapefruit and rosemary) condition.
Not much I can say that I didn’t say before. Hope this works well.
So this month’s Box was just… BLAH! A bit disappointed in what I got.
Do you have a Birchbox? What do you think of this month?
